We are Buttoning up the Place

This past weekend we spent our time getting ready for winter.   The kayak in sitting on the deck bench and wrapped.
We also have to say goodbye to the people we see everyday.   Lo (and her husband Don) are directly across from us.   Sandra on the left and Doug are the ones with the new park model getting the new deck with only one site between us.
This is a Santa Cruz begonia.   I took this picture to remind me what it looked like after I gave it a huge haircut about a month ago.    It sure bounced back so I will keep that in mind next year when it starts to look a little shaggy.  The next picture is taken when we came back to close up - the deer had a really nice salad while we were gone.

We also enjoyed one last walk through the Itasca area to see if there were any Kodak moments.  We are surprised the color really hasn't come and are afraid they won't be much because some of the leaves are starting to fall.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
