Little Rock Trip

Mack is finding toys that are new to him again.
Ellie is now able to stand and look out at the pond and see the geese feeding in the yard.
The trip home went so well with both little ones waking up with smiles at 5:30 am. Mack was very aware of the plane ride we were going to have so was excited for that adventure. So happy the trip was uneventful and Vic was at the LR airport to pick us up with cold bottles of water - man, is it hot here! We were thankful too that he was willing to drive the 1000+ miles by himself (and on his birthday, no less) to get C's car loaded with all the stuff back to Rob and Carrie's home. Getting them back here is one step closer to getting Daddy back home and I know one gal that can't wait.

We noticed Mack had suddenly started calling us, Pop, Toot, Mom and Elle(L). So this noon we asked him what he was going to call Daddy when he gets home. He thought for a minute and then said "Rob". He thought he was pretty funny!!!

What a treat we had all summer and for sure is one Vic and I will never forget.

Packing Up

Wow - we are going to miss these two little ones. It's been great having Carrie here too - we've had a great summer. We are so happy to know it means Daddy will be returning to these two little ones.

Early Morning Reading Time on Deck

Mack loves to tease his little sister.
E wants to watch Mack instead of the book.
Sometimes he is really interested in the books but then sometimes he wants to be silly.
All and in all, I think it is a fun time for all.

visitors......not the kind you invite!!!

Vic noticed this in the carport the other day and immediately went for help. The men came and got rid of the hive. Unfortunately, one found his way to Mack's arm.

Seems like every summer we have to have some nightly visitors that take care of the beautiful hostas. We live in a park where they are used to the nice salads we provide. It doesn't stop us from planting more!!

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
