A Very fun weekend

Saturday we spent the afternoon outdoors - mostly at the Sculpture Gardens at the Walker Art Center.   It was a beautiful day to be outside.    Carrie is trying to catch up with the 2 little rascals - E in the blue hat and M with the green shirt.

Spoonbridge and Cherry
Beautiful gardens with the cathedral in the background.
This very large bell was something Mack wanted to know more about.    It rocks back and forth.
They are standing by a very large glass fish - unfortunately all you  see is the bottom part.   Remember, I'm not the photographer in the family.
We ended our trip in Fargo with a stop to see Rob's parents.   This is a terrible picture but the kids had a ball at a splash park in West Fargo.    It was very crowded when we arrived, mainly because it was over 90 degrees.     We had a great time - Mack declared he wanted to come back to Minneapolis on their next vacation and Ellie said she wanted to live there (with Mommy).

Twin Cities

Carrie had a shop she wanted to go to right away when we arrived in Mpls.   The kids were thrilled to see the nice park right by the place.   C had packed a lunch so it worked great for them to eat and have a nice play time after being in the car for 5 hours.
Then we went to a few more places on the list and they brought books to read.    A couple people stopped to talk to the kids and see what they were reading.
This morning we walked around Centennial Lake near our hotel.   It's such a pleasant place with condos, offices, restaurants and shops all around the lake.   I especially enjoy the piped music.
The colorful paddle boats are available for rent.
A men's croquet team was out in their uniforms having a great time.
Ellie had it in her head she should have her picture taken at this post.
The kids enjoyed the flowers and getting a lesson on how the bees love hanging out around them.

The First Few Days in Minnesota with the Slangers

We've enjoyed the time outside when we can.   The kids loved playing in the sprinkler one day.   We've had so much rain but the lawns dry out quickly since it is such a sandy soil.

These two spend lots of time together.
Usually she loves when he teases her.
Playing in the sand is not quite up to Hawaii standards but they still love it.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
