HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2010 from 3109

They've been warning us about Winter Storm Byron for days now. People canceled their travel plans, changed locations of their dinners and rearranged details of Thanksgiving Day celebrations only to have the weather people says -"not so much". However, we do have a beautiful covering of snow and it really didn't amount to all the hype we were hearing. That's something to be thankful for along with many other things. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving together with family and friends.

HOME

Had to leave those babies in Little Rock....as we were saying Good-bye we explained to Mack we had to go home - back to North Dakota. His response, "So long".....it was nice having a good laugh instead of tears. We can't wait to see them again.

Bath Time

Last night at bath time we made a steeple with Mack's hair. That's when I realized how much he looked like Carrie.

How does he learn this stuff????

This morning Mack came in the kitchen rubbing his tummy and patting his head.   We said "How did you learn that, Mack?"    He said, "TV - that one over there" and pointed to the TV in the living room.

Catchin' Up

What a good baby! She doesn't cry much and sleeps a lot. Everyone is enjoying her. This was taken moments ago - she's 3 weeks tomorrow.
This looks to me like a teaching moment.
What's more fun than having some toys to play with? That would be playing in the toy box.

All in a rainy day in Arkansas...

When it rains we find lots to do.....Reading a book to Oscar is a good thing to do. Or, going outside to take a walk.......

Grandma and Grandpa Slanger sent an umbrella for Mack. It is so dry here he has not had a chance to try it out......until today. Man, do they need rain here.

It is so much fun prancing around while the drops bounce off the umbrella.

But, adults and babies find other things to do.

We Wait.....

Waiting is hard to do, but I'd say Carrie is doing a good job of it. She seems to be energetic, but when I say that to her, she laughs. I'd just sit in a chair and let everyone wait on me, but no, she's out going to stores and baking cookies. She saw her doctor today and he repeated those famous last words, "any day now". I know this won't go on forever, so we will all practice patience while we wait for "baby seester".

Arrived Safely in LR

We arrived in Little Rock about 6:30 Thursday evening. It was a great trip with some fun with brothers and their wives in Iowa. When we started unpacking Mack thought it was great fun to get in and out of the totes. He entertained himself for a long time so of course Papa had to snap some pictures while he played.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
