THE NEXT SHIFT HAS ARRIVED

Tomorrow I leave Tucson. My youngest sister Beth has arrived to take over. She is going to be on major down shift from her busy life in Oklahoma. By Friday she will really start to like the slower pace. We've had fun today with Mom and together catching up on each other's life. Here's a little recap of the past week I have spent with my Mother. Mom and I played lots (LOTS) of games of Rummikub and yes, she can still beat me.

One afternoon we went to a cool (meaning cool in temperatures) mall and she enjoyed some Gelato.

Today they celebrated all the August birthdays at "The Court" where Mom lives. Her birthday is August 11th.

Where was it I went again???

For some reason I find this amusing....this is parked next to my sister's house. Where is the closest body of water that could hold this rig? This is the desert afterall.

We woke one morning.......

and here's what we saw. The mornings are so beautiful here - our favorite time of the day. We are parting ways soon.....V to LR and M to Tucson. We might even have some things to post on our blogs!

Finally.......

We are so happy to finally have our deck finished and awning in place. It feels like we added another room to our house. The weather is wonderful so we've enjoyed being outside.

Just a couple......

Here's just a couple pictures Vic snapped yesterday. We'll have more later when we are completely done with this project. We certainly have enjoyed having a place to sit outside and later this week we'll have an awning. That will help provide the shade we need in the mornings.
