We are so very grateful for the safe arrival of Mack Owen Slanger. He was born at 2:52 p.m (7:52 CDT) Hawaii time. He has light brown hair. He weighed 9#6oz - very close to Carrie's birthweight at 9#7oz. You can be sure there will be pictures as soon as we can get them. It was a long labor but Mom sounded so excited!!

I have been checking your blog all day to see if the little guy has arrived. I am so excited he's here and no major problems! Congrats to the new grandma. I know you must be super excited! Tell Carrie when you talk to her that I am so happy for them and to enjoy every little new experience because they grow so fast!

Hooray!!! I have been checking all throughout the day and then after being gone for the evening, just sat down and said, "I sure hope she's had that baby by now!" Tell Carrie she's a trooper....I know what it's like to deliver a 9 pound, six ounce "little" boy!!! We love his name and can't wait to see pictures! Congratulations to all of you! What a blessing!

She'll be so happy for Rob and Carrie too. Let the FUN begin!!! Grandparenting is fantastic...and you'll be glad they are coming back to the mainland when you see that precious little son!!
