A Trip to Eloy

Of course, no one has ever heard of Eloy but we discovered it is the perfect place to meet Ev and Steve when we want to visit over lunch.    It is a Robson Community that is growing like crazy - they have 1300 homes now and plans to grow to 4400 tops.    It is 13 years old, has affordable homes and many activities for retired folk!   They have a beautiful Clubhouse with a nice lunch menu.  It's about 1/2 way for us when we are in Scottsdale.   Can you believe we were so busy chatting we forgot to take a picture of the two of them, but I did snap one when Vic was showing Ev some things he had learned about photos on the iPhone.   No, we did not sit with our phones the whole time we were together.  It was great seeing them again and we hope to catch one more visit before we leave Arizona.

Walking in the Sunshine

One of the most enjoyable things we do while in Arizona is get out in the sunshine.   We have some favorite walking places and have already visited several of them in the short time we have been here.

After our walk we often find a bench and take in the sights and enjoy the other people out for their walks.   On this particular day I saw a gal I recognized from Grand Forks.   I enjoyed hearing their story how they came to live in Fountain Hills with several other couples from our area.

It was fun to see a bush of roses - this was one of the prettiest!!
