Not so fast, Girlfriend

I'm changing my mind on the advise that it's safe to return to ND.....yesterday brought snow and very chilly temperatures.    It is still snowing on this picture even though you might not be able to see it.    We tell ourselves that we only get teasing spring weather until late May and early June.    We talked of going to the lake to open up and see how it wintered but now having second thoughts since this weather is here for awhile.    I'm posting this picture mostly to remind us next year to look back and see what weather we were dealing with at the end of April.

April in North Dakota and elsewhere

We have such an enjoyable afternoon with a dear lady that we have known since we arrived in Grand Forks, in 1972.   Myrtle Erickson's husband was the church chairman when we came to candidate.    Len picked us up from the airport that March day and took us to their home for cake and coffee.    Len is gone but Myrtle at 97 is still very active and sharp as a tack.    We shared old stories and and had lots of good laughs about the "good old days".   She had fresh oatmeal date cookies and banana bread right out of the oven.    What a gal!!!
My brother Kenneth lives in Italy and has been restoring centuries old houses there for several years.  Recently he was included in a  conference that allowed some interesting hobnobbing.    (Ken is the man at the end of the table with black framed glasses).   You'll recognize another one of the men in the photo.
We enjoy Spring and the color it brings.   Our neighbor directly across the street has a Forsythia bush and I tell her we enjoy it way more than she does.    A friend that winters in Arizona texted me if spring was arriving as they are heading home in a week - so, I sent this picture to her to show her it was safe to return.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
