Memorial Weekend All School Reunion in Steamboat Rock, Iowa

Bev is Vic's cousin and the gal I lived with when my parents moved to another town my senior year of high school.  She currently lives in Calgary but she and her husband are moving to Victoria Island early June.   Pat is Vic's cousin and Bev's sister from Santa Fe.  We spent Christmas with her this past year.  Lou  and Pat - Vic's brother and wife who live in Radcliffe, Iowa.

We had a good time visiting with lots of people, attending church where we went as kids, checking out the changes in the town.    The picture above was taken after we had breakfast together.       

Minnesota, you are getting a visitor.

This morning Vic was so happy to see some new birds making their way through our backyard.   He quickly went to fill the feeder (in the rain), but soon saw this pesky little squirrel devouring his precious seed.    So, he set up the cage (in the rain) and headed out the door to do an errand.   He wasn't gone more than 5 minutes and I noticed this dude had made his way into the cage to eat those yummy peanuts.    Vic will load him in the car and will take him across the river to live in Minnesota.  He says he has never seen a squirrel swimming so doesn't think he'll be back.
