A Best Seller - A CHICKADEE NAMED RAYMOND

Since we have been home Vic has been working on a project for Mack. He wrote this story about Raymond and used his photographs. It's a pretty cute story based on Matthew 6:26. I know it will be Mack's favorite. Sorry, they are all sold out - all 2 copies.

Missing Mack

We are trying to adjust to not seeing our sweet little Mack. This morning an email came from Vic's cousin with these pictures of him. Rob, Carrie and Mack had recently spent a couple nights with her in Santa Fe. Thank you, Pat, for the pictures.

Our Last Couple of Days

A young girl is practicing the hula. Papa (that's Vic) thought it was only fair that Mack got to see the last minute of the Super Bowl. He sat him on the sofa and then snapped this picture. We are pretty sure he is taking it all in. Too bad for the Cardinals!!

I liked this walkway as you head toward Duke's Canoe Club.

Thanks to "points" we were able to stay on Waikiki. The view of Diamond Head couldn't have been any better.

We were happy to have a beautiful sunset one of the two nights we were there. This is such an awesome sight that many of you have experienced.

Now we are back home in our cozy warm house in North Dakota. I think it was the best time ever with Rob, Carrie and Little Mack. We were so sad to say Good Bye. Tomorrow morning they start their trip toward Little Rock. They pick up their car in LA and will have several stops along the way. Carrie's Grandma Marquardt will get a chance to meet Mack as one stop will be in Tucson.

Kauai

Mack enjoyed the plane ride to Kauai. He sat on his Dad's lap and I'm sure learned a lot about how to fly a plane. He was a super traveler. We are hoping he does the same thing on Thursday morning when they get on a plane for the mainland.
We went to a beautiful spot on Kauai where this long pier is a great place to jump into the water. We caught this dad with his son as they were climbing up the ladder to do it all over again.
We walked back to the little town and saw this hedge of poinsettias......
...and this plantation that looked so interesting. We really wanted to get into the house and look around. We have no idea if it is used for anything or if anyone lives there.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
