Signs of Summer at Eagle Lake

We are trying an experiment.....after the tree was taken down on the hill the stump was left with a big hole.  So, I planted a zucchini.    We eat lots of them so it will be fun to see if what they say is true.   Maybe the deer will like them too - who knows!

This picture looks fake to me but it is one Vic caught while sitting on the deck with his camera.  We were watching this Chipping Sparrow feed her little one.
Soon we were entertained with a woodpecker feeding her young.
We know summer has arrived with two things show up - one is the Lady Slipper and the other are the mosquitoes.    UGH!    Thankfully, they usually only last a short time.   I wanted to show this cluster of Lady Slipper because usually we only have a close-up.   They are so beautiful but last a very short time.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
