Girl's Only

Carrie planned a special outing for the 3 of us today.   

Every girl needs to shop when the opportunity is put right in front of you.

Mom decided a little supervision was necessary

Everything about this place was for girls.  There was one brave man there - we were guessing it was a special treat for his daughter.

.....and salad came first along with the tea of our choice.

Little girls were served Pink Lemonade in a gold rimmed stemmed glass.

When the tower arrived Ellie thought it would be a good idea to start at the top, but mother quickly informed her we would be starting at the bottom.  She told us her favorite was the "assert" - the white cup at the top!

A Tennessee Visitor

This past week we had a special visitor...Niece Kim's husband Art (a FedEx pilot) had a 2 night layover in Honolulu.   We made the most of the time by meeting him in Waikiki for dinner.  The next night he came to the house for a bowl of soup and more visit time before sending  him on his way to Alaska.

Tourists

We don't usually do tourist places but this was a place that we thought the kids would enjoy.

This was the main attraction and of course, the kids loved it.

There are several tours you can take but we did the Pineapple Express.    It takes you through the farming area with a narration explaining the process.   

The grounds are beautifully maintained.

The farmer covers almost all the skin to protect himself from the sharp spikes of the plant.

.....a pineapple treat, of course!

Cheap Fun!

From Cold to Warm

The weather is wonderful but even better is being with our favorite daughter and her family.     Oh the energy!!!   The neighbors put this in their yard recently and it is open to these two as long as they follow the rules.    

E is enjoying her little bike.   They have a perfect neighborhood for riding their bikes.  Any guess what her favorite color is?
