September Days

A beautiful sunrise greeted us recently at the lake.  The days are noticeably getting shorter.

How can anyone deny the presence of our Creator?

Several days recently were spent "helping" our neighbor put up a new deck around their new Park Model.   You'll notice that Vic has been given the tool that fits his expertise.

The deck is huge!  Would make for some good polka.  Over 3000 screws secure the decking to the  framing.  The deck extends behind the picture taker and wraps around the front of the Park Model.

This female house finch was so busy gorging herself she didn't mind when our neighbor coaxed her off the feeder on to her hand to feed. 

She tried to offer some water since it appeared to need a drink, but the bird only used the water dish for a perch.  She flew to her shoulder and then to Vic's before returning for more to eat.

These neighbors took a break from building their deck to show some "Minnesota Nice" to one of God's creatures.  Or maybe it is "Kansas Care." 

Friends from Grand Forks came for boat ride on Itasca Lake.  Last time only LK came as JK was in Indonesia visiting their new grandson.  Nice Tilley Hat, LK.

Itasca Lake is a "no wake" lake.  Vic says: "So for the sake of the lake, we took a break and we didn't make a wake on the "no wake" lake." 

Beautiful shoreline just starting to show the Fall colors. 

Saturday we drove NW of Bemidji to visit some other GF friends and see their little piece of paradise. 

What a beautiful setting they have and a gorgeous day.

They have done a lot of work inside and out to make the home very livable and comfortable.

Someone had to take a short ride on the jet ski.  Don't worry, we didn't go far without our life jackets.  The water was so clear... eleven foot clarity. What fun to see our friends enjoying time together at the lake.
