The kiddos were so good today while we traveled. We had to wake them at 5:00 am so we wondered how it would go. They were so busy watching everything. Mack just loved the plane ride and sat by the window each flight. We had a long layover in St. Louis but he played with 2 little cars his mother brought in his back pack and I had a children's video he watched while we waited. That was a treat for him. When we got to the airport we rode in the hotel shuttle and when the driver took off Mack said, "This is fun".
Ellie looked so tired but she too loved all the activity. She did take a short nap on the first flight but mostly looked at everything. I had forgotten how much stuff you haul when you take kids on a trip. whew! Vic left about 7:00 am after dropping us at the airport and back to the house to load up. He is making a stop in Iowa at his brothers overnight. He'll join us tomorrow.

Marilyn, about the "stuff you haul"... I've often wondered if people thought I accidentally forgot to check my luggage - my carry-on can be HUGE :) But you know, halfway through a long plane trip is not the time to realize you forgot a change of clothes for xxx!
So are Carrie and kiddos joining you in ND for a while? Rob deploying?
