SOME GOOD SIGNS OF SPRING

We are never to quick to declare spring has arrived this far north until June appears on the calendar. But, it is so much fun watching it get closer. We have our lake place open now but Sunday morning when we returned from church we had no water - yep, it froze while we were gone. Thankfully a nice neighbor saw Vic outside and came with some piping hot water and it was running through the pipes very quickly. In the five years we have had this place we saw snow on the ground for the first time -- we woke to 20 degrees last Saturday. This picture is what we saw when we looked out. On the bright side...the loons are making their noises and we can see buds and green grass finally. On Tuesday we head to Little Rock to pack up Carrie and two kiddos and bring them north for an extended period of time. Are you sure you want to come, C?
We were anxious to see what birds are around - this was an interesting little creature that found the seeds.
As you can see it wasn't all bad. Vic got the hill partly finished and was able to get the lawn cleaned up.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
