C&R live about 10 minutes from Kailua Beach so a walk to the beach was a perfect way to start the day. We stopped to get a coffee before we hit the beach. It was a windy day - a perfect day for the kite surfers. We watched them as we walked so had some great entertainment.
We packed a lunch and took a drive to the north shore and an Audubon Park that was so enjoyable. We had to hike about one mile into the park to see waterfalls. The park has peacocks strutting around.
After the park we went to Turtle Bay to see the turtles - that was great because two of them were on the beach with many more swimming close to shore. The lily pads are at least 3 feet across.
We got a lot of fresh air and an overdose of Vitamin D.
