Let's Play Catch Up

I think we can safely say summer has finally arrived.   It sure took a long time.
Carrie and the Grands came earlier this year than they usually do so we had to deal with some cooler weather.    We spent most of the time they were here at the lake.    They seemed to enjoy the things to do there.   They found some kids to play with while at our resort.
And of course, they love the pool. We had one hot day so they headed for the pool    It is great to see what good swimmers they are.
Back in Grand Forks they enjoyed riding the Dahon Folder Bike and the scooters.
We met Marie in Fargo for lunch the day they had to go back to Abilene.
We made a trip to Duluth during their stay.  Carrie is the Queen of picnics so here we made a stop at a park on the way into Duluth.
We still enjoy many friends we have in Grand Forks and thankfully they include us in gatherings now and then.   Jan and Luther invited us to their home with other couples.
You can't have the 4th of July celebration without a parade.  The small town of Park Rapids really knows how to do that!   It lasted one hour and I think they had 10 fire engines at the end of the parade this year.    Lots of loud honks and sirens to everyone's delight.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
