A 50th Reunion for the Class of 1962 in Steamboat Rock, Iowa

This past weekend we spent in Steamboat Rock, Iowa with the Class of 1962.    It was a fun time reconnecting with some friends we have not seen for 20+ years.    These four handsome boys were friends almost the entire 13 years of school.
Vic, Gordon Taylor, Robert Reiken, David Finger.
We stopped in at the old bank where now they have the Historical Society.    We found a picture on the wall showing the boys basketball team where Vic's oldest brother Don was a member.  He's the one that only shows a 2 for his number.
Pat, Jan and Norm waiting after the reunion dinner.    All classes that graduated 45 years or more are invited to the Saturday evening dinner.
Lou visiting with some old timers.  The man on the right was the oldest alumnus at the dinner.   Ray Taylor served as State  Legislator for many years, was on the school board and an all around good guy.
Here's my name on a trophy  to prove that I really did play on the girls basketball team.   We almost made it to the State Tournament in 1963.

Those are fun. I hope we get a chance to stop in SR on our way up north.

A Summer Evening Drive

A couple nights ago our neighbor (Sandra) came knocking on our door and asked if we'd like to go out for a ride in "The Chevy"...
